The photograph on our home page was taken from across
the river looking southwest at Horseshoe Bend, which borders a 140-acre peninsula
east of the twin bridges on U.S. highway 95.
You get an idea of the overall topography and a waterfront vista
of lots 9-16. Views cannot be disturbed by future development because the Bureau
of Land Management owns much of the frontage across the river from the property.
By clicking the following links you can check the layout
of the lots and prices, or you will find buttons
to those pages as you read on.
The photo at right is taken from above the private boat ramp area (out of sight in the inlet at left). All the local land critters haunt this area, as well as eagles (both kinds), herons, geese and many other birds. And the river is just as productive as it looks for fish.
The image below shows the same stretch of river, but from another angle, at a different time of year and with two whitetail deer in the foreground.

White Bird is the closest town to Horseshoe Bend, just seven miles north. With a population of 150, services are limited but there's a post office, restaurant, general store, two motels and a gas station—plus three churches and three bars. Lewiston (pop: 30,000) is 90 miles north, at the confluence of the Snake and Clearwater rivers. Here you'll find Costco, Albertsons, Wal-Mart and other major facilities.
Just off US-95, Salmon River Estates lies 175 miles north of Boise and the same distance south of Spokane. Both drives are spectacular, as are those in any direction. For example, go up the Lochsa River, over Lolo Pass and down into the Bitterroot Valley--a 4-hour trip to Missoula, Montana.
Alaska Airlines serves Lewiston, as do Budget and Hertz. Boise and Spokane offer more: Alaska, Northwest,Delta, Southwest and United, as well as all the major car rentals.
